Para el Día de Ayer

Yesterday was my first year "anniversary" with my boyfriend. I say "anniversary" because that word always makes me think of married couples, I don't know why.
We had a nice, quiet evening, because that's what we like to do: veg out in the couch in front of the T.V.
But of course, before that we went out for dinner. Wow.
That was a great restaurant we went to. If you are ever in Monterrey, Nuevo León, make sure you go to the El Lingote restaurant in Parque Fundidora's Horno 3.
Obviously there's a lot of other good restaurants, but the food here was exquisite (well, that is if you like steaks).

Oh, and btw, it rained while we were there, so when going back to the car we were completely soaked from head to toe (my shoes!!!!).
Then we got home and ate ice cream (:
And I'm not getting sick, yay!

Para el Día de Hoy

So, yes, I am tired of summer. Why? Simply because I have nothing to do.
I was supposed to work this summer, but then I decided to finish up my Social Service hours (I need 190 more hours).
So I applied to various Services, and the one I got accepted to (which gives me 196 hours) doesn't start until mid-July.
This means that I applied for no jobs, I won't be doing summer school, and I'm stuck doing nothing at home.
haha, that explains why I'm so sick of it already.

Today I wore one of my favorite skirts.
It's so flowy and light, I love it.
And then the colors and the pattern are just brilliant, in my opinion.
And of course, I'm addicted to skirts because of the hot weather we have here where I live. I suppose I'm not the only one, though, living with temperatures ranging in the 80s-90s F.

Shirt: got it after a swim meet (see the shark chasing the swimmer?)
Skirt: Forever 21
Shoes: Enzo Angiolini (I've had those since High School, I think this is like the 7th time I ever wear them)

Pour Aujord'hui

So it's summer for me already ... which means that I've been waking up at 2:00pm just because I want to eat.
Today was no exception.
I woke up at 2:00pm and I didn't shower until 5:00pm.
I'm tired of summer, already ... blah.

Para Hace Una Semana

This is an old look.
It's from last week ... from Tuesday, I believe.
I like it though.
We went out to celebrate one of my best friend's birthday (a week early).
I didn't get any photos of myself because I was lazy and tired and I didn't want to get the photos, but at least you'll get to see some of my friends.

If it's cold, why would you wear sandals?
If it's hot, why would you wear something with that lining?
I don't understand :(

Para el Día de Ayer

Yesterday I was lucky enough to go home so I could get some shopping done. Of course, with less than $200USD because of the peso-dollar exchange rate, I could only buy things at Forever 21. Not that I mind, except that I feel like a walking mannequin for F21 ... they should start paying me.
Anyways, these photos were taking at my old house, the one where I used to live in before I left for college.
That is the place where I lived all through jr. high and high school, that's where I had my first parties, get-togethers, hangovers, etc.
It's one of the [very] few things I actually miss from my hometown.

Striped shirt: Kitson
Jeans: Forever 21 (walking mannequin!!!)
Wedges: Betsey Johnson (yes, I did wear them all day long)
Necklace: Tiffany & Co.
Watch: Swarovski (it stopped at 2:25pm, I didn't notice that until 9:40pm)

Para el Día de Hoy

I am super excited because this summer we will be moving into a new house.
Right now, my parents, my brother and I live in a small apartment that was meant to be for my brother and myself only.
However, after things got real bad in my hometown, my parents came over here.
These photos were taken at the new house.
It's still not completely finished, but we're getting there.
Yay!!!
Oh, and btw, I got tired of the dark green background ...

Shirt: got it at Target
Jeans: Seven7
Sandals: Sam Edelman
Bag: Vintage (flea market find!)

Pour La Soirée du Vendredi

So, way back when I was still in high school, I never would've been caught [willingly] wearing a dress. Unless it was because I had to (e.g., homecomings, proms, banquets, etc).

I was a tomboy (and a nerd), and I don't really blame anyone.
I think it was because I was on the swim team and I got along way better with the boys than with the girls. So, I was kind of a tennis shoes addict (yes, shoe addiction ... in a different manner, but still) and would always go around in jeans and tshirts.
Nowadays I take any opportunity to wear my cutest outfits, and Friday night was no exception.

Finals are over.
School is over.

School's out for summer!! (remember that song?)

Isn't the eyelet just plain beautiful??

Dress: Betsey Johnson
Sandals: Brantano (even though I've mentioned them before, this was my first time wearing them)
Belt: it came with a pair of pants
Ring: got it at a market back home

Para el Día de Hoy

And. So. You're. Back.
From outerspace!

Well, no... I'm not back from outerspace, I'm just back from the Industrial Design workshops at school.
We had to make a structure for an ice bucket. My partner and I decided to make a beehive.
But to do it, I had to go school in jeans, tennis shoes, and old high school shirts for six days. Because I obviously didn't want to ruin my clothes.
So today, after being free from the workshops, I decided to wear something super girly! haha, I deserved it ;)

Dress: Target
Sandals: Brantano
Bag: vintage
Key Necklace: Tiffany & Co.
Watch: Forever 21
Flower bracelets: Oysho
Green bracelet: Coach

btw, this is my ice bucket structure, with its tray:

Pour Aujord'hui

Yup, I know I've been MIA lately, but you must understand that those final projects are not going to get themselves done by magic (even though I wish it were that way).

But today is my boyfriend's grandfather's birthday, so we went to their quinta for a meal and a dip in the pool. Which means that I finally got to wear that didn't include jeans or tennis shoes, which is what I've been wearing every day since Wednesday to the I.D. workshops.

Dress: H&M
Sandals: Brantano
Floppy Hat: got it at a market in Oaxaca, Oaxaca
Bag: Zara
Bracelet: got it a random boutique in South Padre Island, TX

I love this dress, even though it's 2 sizes too big on me. The fabric makes me think that it was an eight-year-old who painted it with watercolors. I think it's lovely! :)

44 C

I don't about ya'll, but I feel like spring never really made it home.
At least not where I'm at.
We skipped spring, going from winter right into summer.

I'm wearing a random spaghetti straps blouse from Zara with Forever 21 jeans and Bershka wedges with the usual accesories: my Alessi watch, a flower ring and a flower headpiece.
And the only reason I'm wearing jeans is because I have to go to the workshop, or else I'd be wearing a skirt.

If I have time, I'll photograph today's outfit... if not, well, I'll just go around later and envy what the rest of you fashionable girls are wearing.
Unless you also have to make a table and an ice bucket and are dressed just like me (:

Good luck with finals to everyone who's in college!
And high school girls, enjoy it... high school was SO easy!!

Summer Project

I wanted to make this type of table out of cardboard for one of my classes ... but my teacher said not to because it would be too difficult ... so we had to settle for my partner's design.
Poor thing, she knows I hate her design but that I'm doing it just because the teacher told us to.
But, I'll be doing this during the summer.
The whole point of the project was to make a piece of furniture out of biodegradable materials.
So mine is a table/bookcase that can be used in 4 different positions (:
It will be a great addition to my new room :D
