Para el Día de Hoy

I've been dying to wear something more geared towards cold-weather than just my faux fur vest from Zara (which I am not, by any means, setting aside until next spring) and, today is finally the day!
Sometimes I'm amazed by what one can find in a thrift store... but I suppose that that "one man's trash is another man's treasure" quote is 100% true.

I am SO tired of summer ... the heat is driving me crazy, it's been so terrible that I've actually been wearing random jeans with tank tops (and still, I'll sweat on my five minute walks from one class to another) for over a week now.
So I obviously am still shopping for items for the upcoming F/W season in hopes that that will make the cold weather come by sooner. While I was searching, I came across this beautiful, rich, green velvet blazer at a Mustang Exchange and I just had to have it.
Now I really cannot wait for the cold weather to begin!

Is It Autumn Yet?

I love the F/W season.
The heat is finally gone. The colors that prevail in nature are divine. And the clothes are more than beautiful.
I just want to bust out my coats already ... and of course, buy more :P

Back home, "winter" is a term used only for propriety. In fact, during "winter" we still reach highs of 25 Celsius (but we have hit lows of 0 C ... a long, long time ago, but still). So a short sleeved coat, like this one, is actually perfect for our weather / De donde yo soy, el término "invierno" es usado como una formalidad. En realidad, en nuestro "invierno" aún alcanzamos temperaturas de 25 grados (aunque sí hemos llegado a los 0 grados ... hace mucho, mucho tiempo, pero como quiera). Así que un abrigo de mangas cortas, como este, es en realidad perfecto para nuestro clima.

 I've worn this dusty pink leather jacket twice ... it is way too big on me, but I can't bear to part with it / He usado esta chamarra de piel en color rosa viejo dos veces ... está demasiado grande para mí, pero no puedo simplemente deshacerme de ella.

I got this pig suede jacket from Lord & Taylor at the same flea market as the jacket above ... I got real lucky that day / Compré esta chamarra de pig suede de la tienda Lord & Taylor en el mismo flea market que la chamarra de arriba ... andaba súper suertuda ese día.
