Why 1060?

Maybe some of you have wondered at least once why my blog's name is One Thousand Sixty.
Well, have you ever heard of Imelda Marcos?
She was the wife of President Ferdinand Marcos, of the Philippines.
And she was a serious shopaholic.
It was claimed that she owned 3000 pairs of shoes, to which she responded:

"I did not have Three Thousand pairs of shoes, I had One Thousand Sixty".

Cynicism at its best, no?

Today I got a comment from the lovely Amy at Fashion Teapot informing me that she had nominated me for a Blog Love Award.
I truly didn't expect to get any type of recognition after only one month of blogging, even the amount of comments still surprises me.
All I can guess is that maybe, just maybe, I'm doing something right :P

SUNday

I'm actually not a big fan of Sundays, because that means the weekend is over and we have to get to school early in the morning once again in just a couple of hours.
It's not that I don't like school, because I truly do ... especially now that I'm in the major that I'm meant to be in (Industrial Design). I seriously feel blessed that my parents are able to afford to send me to such a good school, but it's the waking up at 7:00am part that kills me!
At least it's just 3 more days of classes, then finals, and baby, SUMMER '10 HERE WE GO!!

have you ever ...

had those cramps that won't even allow you to get off your bed and go for water?
I dislike them very, very much.

I've done nothing but read about 35 pages of Texts From Last Night, listen to the (near-) crashes on the highway near my apartment, and wonder what the weather outside is like.
I suppose it's sunny, because it was sunny on Thursday and Friday ... however, this city's weather is bipolar and can go from being hot and rainy to being cold and humid in 12 hours.

To celebrate the sunshine, I wore this on Thursday:
